Kenora LOW Lions Club Brings 2009 in with a ROAR with $33,682!
Kenora Lake of the Woods Lions Club brings 2009 in with a roar and the Hospital Foundation, along with the community benefits!
The Kenora Lake of the Woods Lions Club presented the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation with a $33,682 gift to be applied towards the hospital’s Ophthalmology program. The generosity of the Lions has resulted in over 1600 cataract eye surgeries being performed in Kenora since 2005. By holding raffles draws in the community, the Kenora Lake of the Woods Lions Club has honoured their commitment for the medical equipment investment made by the hospital. The club has raised over $235,700. to date, bringing the total funds raised for the Ophthalmology program to $300,000.34.
