Forms of Hope Book Launch

In July 2007, $22,000 was raised through the Forms of Hope Art exhibit for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

The final chapter of the fundraiser is scheduled for Tuesday February 12, 2008 with a book launch at HOJOE Coffee & Books  – 7:00 – 8:30 PM

Get your copy, meet the show photographers, visit with artists and enjoy some food and drink.

Books are available for sale at $40.

On Saturday, November 3^rd, we invite you to join us for The Giving Day to help raise funds for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation.The Giving Day is a one day, exclusive shopping event to be held at all Bay and Zellers stores across Canada on November 3^rd, during regular business hours. Simply by purchasing a ticket for $5, you will be entitled to an extra 15% off almost everything in store – just in time for the holiday season!

Standard Insurance Golf 2007

The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation was pleased with the success of its 11^th annual golf tournament organized by the Standard Insurance Brokers Ltd.  Proceeds from the tournament raised $22,563.00 for the capital investment needs of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.  Mr. David Pearce who co-managed the event with Mrs. Christeena Stuart for the Standard Insurance commented that, their company wants to see the hospital as a world class facility.  “The 35 employees at the Standard along with their families depend on the hospital for services,” explained Mr. Pearce.  “It’s easy to volunteer for something that has a permanent benefit for the community and that it will be there when we need it.”

2007 Dream Vacation Lottery

The 2007 Dream Vacation Lottery has 2 prizes with a the draw scheduled for October 1, 2007.  First Prize is a “Best of Hawaii” 10 day trip for two. Prize includes round trip airfares from Winnipeg to Honolulu, inter-island flights, accommodations and tours.

Second Prize is a “Cruising the Caribbean 5 day trip for two. Prize includes round trip airfares from Winnipeg to Miami, cruise, transfers and port taxes.

Only 1500 tickets to be sold and are widely available at finer businesses throughout the community or at the Hospital Foundation office.

Tickets are $20 each with all proceeds to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation.
