The second annual Boobie Nights fundraiser for Digital Mammography was held Saturday, June 4 at the Kenora Curling Club. Over 700 people came out to dance the night away to tunes from Big Boogaloo and Dave Caissy.
The Century 21 team worked tirelessly to put on this incredible fundraiser for us for the second year in a row. Tickets were selling in December for the June event!
Once again, our community was a huge support with all kinds of sponsorships, chinese auction prizes and volunteers! This year also featured a Photo Booth with all kinds of fun accessories, and photographer Ihor Kor of Kenora Photos who came out and took some really great shots of all the fun being had! Because of all this support, Boobie Nights 2 raised $32,000!!!!!

With a price tag of $600,000, Digital Mammography is half of the Diagnostic Imaging Project that LWDHF is currently taking on. The other half is a Digital X-Ray machine. Both of these machines are nearing their end of life, and replacing them is our number one priority. With continued results like these from Boobie Nights Socials and other initiatives, we’re well on our way to purchasing both machines. Any donations toward this project are happily accepted, and you can feel good knowing that your donation will help to save lives in our community.
THANK YOU to everyone who came out, all of the amazing volunteers, community sponsors and to the Century 21 team for helping us raise such an incredible amount, and for starting the summer off right!
See you all on June 2, 2012 for the 3rd Annual Boobie Nights!!!! (location TBA)
