Planned Giving

Your gift to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation can help your own financial picture while supporting the needs of the hospital.

When we think of making a donation to charity, we usually think of a cash donation first. If you want to maximize the gift the Hospital Foundation will receive and gain valuable tax benefits for yourself, there are other options to consider.

Here are some planned giving alternatives that can make a difference to your hospital:

  • Making a bequest in your will
  • Donating Stocks
  • Gifts of Life Insurance
  • donating RSP’s or RIF’s
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Charitable Remainder Trust
  • One of the reasons individuals and families choose to plan their gifts to the Hospital Foundation is for the tax benefits their gift generates. Our office will be more than happy to highlight important tazation points that deserve your attention.

Like all strategies that affect your estate, charitable gift planning involves many choices and requires much thought. We appreciate all opportunities to discuss your consideration of the hospital’s needs. However, we would not presume to offer financial advice. When contemplating a planned gift to the Hospital Foundation, please discuss your matters with your tax advisor or investment professional.
